Maciej Świerkocki

ur. 1961 w Łodzi.
Literat, krytyk i tłumacz literatury anglojęzycznej. Autor powieści, scenariuszy filmowych i tekstów publicystycznych. Adiunkt w Katedrze Teorii Literatury, Teatru i Filmu UŁ. Tłumaczył m. in. utwory H. Millera, R. Gravesa, R. Silverberga, J. Irvinga, J. Bartha i J.G Ballarda. Przełożył dotąd ponad 17 pozycji książkowych. Przez kilka lat był m. in. współpracownikiem pisma "ExLibris". Obecnie publikuje na łamach "Literatury na świecie" i "Odry".

Writer, critic and translator of English and American literature. The author of a few novels, film screenplays and critical texts. A Ph.d. at The Department of Theory of Literature, Theatre and Film at the University of Łódź. He has translated, among other works, novels by Henry Miller, Robert Graves, Robert Silverberg, John Irving, John Barth and J.G. Ballard; altogether over 17 books. He was a regular critical contributor to "ExLibris" magazine. At present he publishes his work in "Literatura na świecie" and "Odra".
