Zygmunt Rytka, born 11.03.1947, Warsaw. Has participated in over
      150 group exhibitions since 1972; had 29 one-man shows since 1974.
      Lives and works in Warsaw and Podkowa Le¶na. A member of Polish
      Photographers' Union since 1979. Awarded a diploma and medal of the
      Union for oustanding creative achievements in the field of photography.
      Works in the field of photography and video. For years has 'co-operated'
      with the Bia³ka river, a site where the cycles of Supplementary Pictures
      and Continual Infinity originated. Assuming that stones last forever
      and symbolize the eternity of Nature, he sets them in motion, questioning
      a static character typically attributed to them Dynamic Objects
      2002- . 
       
           From the 70s has been active in neo avant-garde movement as an
      artist, also documenting artistic events. In 1974 had his first one-man
      show - Time Units - at the Remont Gallery in Warsaw. In 1975-77
      worked at the Contemporary Gallery in Warsaw. During Martial Law
      period involved in the activities of Strych/Attic in £ód¼. In 1972-2000
      realised Private Collection - his record of the art scene he was associated
      with. 
       
           His works can be found in the collections of Muzeum Sztuki in £ód¼, the
      National Museum in Wroc³aw, Museum of the History of Photography in
      Cracow, the Museum of Varmia and Masuria in Olsztyn, the Exchange
      Gallery in £ód¼, the BWA Gallery in Lublin, the BWA Gallery in Zielona
      Góra, Artoteka in Zielona Góra, Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko
    and in numerous private collections. |
