Galeria FF - Zygmunt Rytka

     Zygmunt Rytka, born 11.03.1947, Warsaw. Has participated in over 150 group exhibitions since 1972; had 29 one-man shows since 1974. Lives and works in Warsaw and Podkowa Leśna. A member of Polish Photographers' Union since 1979. Awarded a diploma and medal of the Union for oustanding creative achievements in the field of photography. Works in the field of photography and video. For years has 'co-operated' with the Białka river, a site where the cycles of Supplementary Pictures and Continual Infinity originated. Assuming that stones last forever and symbolize the eternity of Nature, he sets them in motion, questioning a static character typically attributed to them Dynamic Objects 2002- .

     From the 70s has been active in neo avant-garde movement as an artist, also documenting artistic events. In 1974 had his first one-man show - Time Units - at the Remont Gallery in Warsaw. In 1975-77 worked at the Contemporary Gallery in Warsaw. During Martial Law period involved in the activities of Strych/Attic in Łódź. In 1972-2000 realised Private Collection - his record of the art scene he was associated with.

     His works can be found in the collections of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, the National Museum in Wrocław, Museum of the History of Photography in Cracow, the Museum of Varmia and Masuria in Olsztyn, the Exchange Gallery in Łódź, the BWA Gallery in Lublin, the BWA Gallery in Zielona Góra, Artoteka in Zielona Góra, Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko and in numerous private collections.
